Cheers to The Metro, for improving the quality of my daily life!
Their new format includes several puzzles a of mathemagical nature. This vastly includes the enjoyability of my commute, as I both enjoy these more, and am better at them than crossword puzzles.
The new format also features fun facts at the top; one I found particularly amusing was that the pope is old, sick, and catholic. They felt the need to quote a source on this (Reuters).
Jeers to that old guy, who sat just a little too close to me on the subway on my ride home. And by "a little too close" I mean literally leaning on me, as though my should was the back of the seat (ie his back on my shoulder). Then he started talking to me while I tried to solve the number puzzle in the metro. As a result, I was unable to finish it in the 13 minutes required to attain Genius status; I am merely a scholar. CURSE YOU OLD MAN! YOU WILL RUE THE DAY.
